A remote house by the sea. Unexplained sounds. Voices that seem to come from nowhere. Inspired by Carolin Frey’s psychological thriller “Das Krähenzimmer”, this immersive Spatial Audio experience blurs the line between fiction and reality, drawing guests into a world of suspense, uncertainty, and psychological tension.
To support the launch campaign for “Das Krähenzimmer”, vm-people developed an immersive live experience designed to blur the boundaries between fiction and reality. Set in a secluded house near Germany’s Baltic coast, the event invited selected book influencers to step directly into the world of the novel. Working closely with vm-people, we designed and implemented the Spatial Audio experience that formed the emotional core of the event. Voices emerged from specific locations, distant sounds hinted at unseen events, and carefully crafted audio cues guided guests through a story that seemed to unfold around them in real space. The result was an experience where storytelling, environment, and sound design merged into a single immersive narrative.
