Project Overview:

AuralReality [ˈɔːrᵊl riˈæləti]: 

This European Research & Development project develops an integrated software ecosystem for immersive audio authoring, multi‑zone playback, and acoustic digital twins. It creates new workflows and technical possibilities to develop audio content and system design. It adresses tasks that are error-prone or even impossible to achieve with existing systems. The target market is the location based entertainment (LBE) sector.

Why it matters

The global LBE and immersive entertainment market is growing rapidly, with increasing demand for interactive, emotionally resonant experiences. Audio is a core driver of presence, storytelling, and guest engagement.

Publicly funded

AuralReality is a R&D project funded under FFG / IraSME, running from 2025–2027. This Project is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag.
